Many of you are creators, if fact all of us as humans create. What kind of courage does it take to put that creation out in the world for people to see, for people to trample, or to raise up? I can tell you it takes a lot more courage than I thought it would before I started this blog, set a date for my book to be finished and published.
I just want to be honest with you and say that your views, likes and traffic matter, it matters more than I thought it would have. We're told from a young age that we have to do things, we have to be a one person army in a world that doesn't, and won't care about us. Even if thats not what is said, it is spoken and written between the lines.
Your likes, views, comments, and everything else matter to me, because I disagree with whats being said. We may need to listen to that still small voice inside, but without others to cajole, encourage, and give a knock on the head once in awhile, we would get no where, other than to spin our wheels. I need people, I need validation and encouragement along with people to keep my head out of the cloud when it really matters.
I'm sharing this with you because I wanted to be honest, and I wanted to let you know that it does matter to me, what you comment and like matters, even if we (or I) don't like to admit that it does. I'm sharing with you a piece of myself, a piece of my heart, and I hope that when you see Astèri online, or by some miracle, on the shelves that you would pause to think about what I'm sharing with you, the piece of myself that I'm carefully holding out.
So as you go out into the world on this wonderful first of May I want you to consider what creations that others have put out in the world, and to share them, write them on your heart and let that person know that their work has reached someone, because it can make all the difference. Share their work, just as they've shared themselves with you.
